New Hampshire corruption fighter Andy Martin will announce Tuesday he is continuing his battle against Northeast Utilities’ proposed Northern Pass high voltage transmission system. Andy says “I made a promise to the People of New Hampshire to ‘stay the course’ and I am continuing my battle against Northern Pass. We will resume the statewide march against Northern Pass some time in late August or early September. I plan to announce in September that I am moving to  New Hampshire to devote my full-time efforts to leading the fight against Northern Pass and to continue and expand my efforts fighting local corruption in the state.”

(MANCHESTER, NH) (July 31, 2012) Conservative blogger and Internet Powerhouse Andy Martin will hold a telephone news conference today, Tuesday, July 31st, to announce he is continuing his battle Northeast Utilities’ proposed Northern Pass high voltage transmission system. Northeast Utilities is holding a related news conference today to provide an update on the proposed route of the Northern Pass system.

“I am excited today to announce I will continue to lead the battle against Northeast Utilities proposed Northern Pass high voltage transmission system,” Andy says. “The Northern Pass proposal is bad for New Hampshire.

“Northern Pass has used underhanded tactics to obtain approval from a local chamber of commerce. I hope to be able to announce my plans to move to New Hampshire to continue my efforts against Northern Pass. Northern Pass is one of our nation’s critical environmental conflicts. I support infrastructure investment that will benefit the economy. I oppose utility company efforts to use the people of New Hampshire as ‘energy slaves.’

“Now that the burdens of a personal political campaign are lifting, I can devote full time to serving the People of New Hampshire. We have some exciting plans which we will be releasing in the days ahead.

“Last year I began a statewide march against Northern Pass. As soon as we are able, I’ll resume the march where I left off (Twin Mountain). I made promises to the People of New Hampshire and I plan to keep those promises. This is a major battle and I have made a major commitment.”

[Northeast Utilities maintained visual surveillance of Andy Martin while he marched against Northern Pass along Route 3 from Pittsburg to Twin Mountain. The utility company is obviously seriously concerned by his leadership of the Northern Pass opposition in New Hampshire.]
